Founded in 2013, Uttaranchal University is a privately owned university situated in Uttarakhand. Over time, the university has made a substantial contribution to providing high-quality higher education.

- Candidates must hold a degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, IT, Computer Science Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).
- Alternatively, graduates from any discipline who have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject at either the 10+2 or graduation level are eligible, provided they have achieved a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).
- Note: Candidates who have not studied Mathematics at the 10+2 or graduation level must complete a bridge course designed by the university.
- Online BCA – Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board.
- Online BBA – Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board.
- Online MBA – Candidates should possess a graduation degree in any field from a recognized university with at least 40% aggregate marks. Alternatively, candidates with less than 40% aggregate marks may qualify by passing an eligibility test.

Admission Process
The admissions process for online courses at Online Uttaranchal University (Online UU) is conducted entirely online, with new admissions beginning each January. There are no entrance exams; applicants can secure direct admission.
To apply, visit www.onlineuu.in and select the “Apply Now” option. Complete the required information, including your full name, email address, mobile number, nationality, state, and chosen program, and then submit your details.
After submitting your information, you will receive a user ID and password via SMS and email. Log in with these credentials to access the application form, where you will need to enter your personal, contact, and qualification details.
Once the form is completed, proceed to make the program fee payment online. After successful payment, you can activate the document upload feature. Upload all required documents along with a recent passport-sized photograph, ensuring that everything is visible. Finally, click “Submit” to complete your application. You will receive a confirmation of successful submission on your registered mobile number and email address.
The Pattern of the Exam at Online Uttaranchal University
The Examination Cell serves as the main contact for procedural inquiries related to exams at Uttaranchal University. The university operates on a semester system, dividing the academic year into two semesters: the odd/even semester starting in August and the spring semester in January. Each program follows a credit system based on contact hours.
Typically, each semester consists of around 90 teaching days, which may be adjusted according to guidelines from regulatory bodies like UGC, AICTE, BCI, PCI, or ICAR. The curriculum includes various learning activities such as lectures, tutorials, practicals, projects, seminars, quizzes, and dissertations. Field and industrial training opportunities are also provided to enhance practical learning.
For law students, participation in moot court sessions, court visits, and legal aid camps is mandatory. Students must maintain an average attendance of 75% across all teaching activities to be eligible for examinations.
Assessment includes formative evaluations through sessional exams, practicals, projects, seminars, and quizzes. A moderation system is in place to ensure fairness in grading. The university employs Bloom’s Taxonomy in developing question papers, aligning them with course outcomes (COs) and program outcomes (POs). Additionally, the curriculum emphasizes overall personality development through mandatory non-credit life skills courses, which must be passed to obtain a degree.
